Julie M. Murray brings to WaysMeet her interest in working with a team of individuals committed to providing care that acknowledges that healing involves every aspect of our lives.

She has many years of experience in private practice as a spiritual director in Cincinnati, and as a retreat leader, teacher and workshop presenter around the country. Julie will be present at WaysMeet once a month to meet with individuals for spiritual direction.

For the past 27 years, Julie Murray has maintained a spiritual direction practice in Cincinnati; for the past 17 years she has had an energy healing practice. During her 14 years on the staff of the Jesuit Renewal Center (JRC) in Milford Ohio, she did pioneering work in the area of women's holistic spirituality. From 1989 to 1994, she served as Director of the International Internship in Spiritual Direction. Julie is co-founder of The Center Within, a spirituality ministry group in Cincinnati that offers a program of holistic directed retreats in the Cincinnati area and in Kentucky throughout the year.

For 15 years, Julie taught French, Spanish, and ESL in France, Spain, Italy, Belgium, and the U.S. She has been on the faculty of the Barbara Brennan School of Healing for the past 10 years, serving on the team of teachers for the senior class. In February 2002, she presented a public lecture and workshop on the fundamentals of Brennan healing science for Mercy HealthPlex in Cincinnati. She has also completed the 4-year professional training program offered by A Society of Souls . Julie has led several workshops on the integration of energy healing and spiritual direction for Spiritual Directors International groups and is slated as a presenter for the annual SDI conference in Miami FL in April 2004.

Julie Murray contributes to WaysMeet her deeply-held belief in the necessity of healing body, mind and spirit and of dissolving the sense of separation between ourselves and other people. She offers her work in the service of moving towards a world in which peace flows outward from the heart of each person, to the family, to the community, to the nation, to the world, to the universe.
